(It’s best to approach from Chipping Sodbury if towing a large rig as lanes from Hawkesbury Upton are narrow)
From the A46 Stroud to Bath road take A432 West (Chipping Sodbury & Yate) at Old Sodbury traffic lights (by Cross Hands Hotel).
The road drops down a steady, winding hill - follow for 2 miles passing The Dog Inn on left after 1 mile and Chipping Sodbury Caravans on right just before the large roundabout. Take the 5th exit on the roundabout (Wickwar) onto St. Johns Way.
Take the 3rd exit on the right off St. Johns Way (Little Sodbury). Cross the cattle grid and keep left and head across Sodbury Common towards Horton.
You will exit the common over a cattle grid and after approx ½ mile you enter the village of Horton. Turn left at the post box and take King Lane. Follow this for 0.8 miles.
You will see a fork in the road with a red post box on a wall in front of you. Bear right and turn immediately left into the entrance to Oakfield Farm (see pictures above left to recognise the entrance)
